We've all seen this image by now, of the assembled group in the White House's Situation Room, looking in on the developing raid to get Osama bin Laden. Great drama, as best captured via a single image.
Now, here's an exercise I might recommend, whenever you are in need of simple encouragement or when you think things couldn't be any worse, could they?:
* Make a mental subsitution of the faces of John 'Mumbles' McCain and Sarah 'I Can See Russia' Palin for the sitting president and vice president in that photo.
See: things aren't really that bad after all, are they?

"I can see Russia" was Tina Fey's line, not Sarah Palin.
Correct.
But "Paul Revere told the British they weren't going to take our guns while he rang those bells and fired warning shots" was WAYYYY to long to put in there.
